The Basics

Be a good human. Help to make the atmosphere as welcoming and enjoyable as possible for everyone.

You must be 18 years or older to join the Apobangpo.space server. Minors are not allowed.

When you join the Apobangpo.Space server, you agree to abide by our Community Charter, Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Antis, solo stans, sasaengs, mantis and serious shippers are not welcome on the Apobangpo.space server.

Kindness

Do treat all members of the Apobangpo.Space community with kindness.

Remember that ARMY comes from all backgrounds, and speaks many languages. Have patience and be mindful that misunderstanding / mistranslations / imprecise communication can happen.

Assume good intent first, and seek to clarify misunderstandings through respectful dialogue.

Respect Apobangpo

Do treat all members of the Apobangpo.Space community with respect.

Discussion is encouraged. There is space here to explore ideas and share differing opinions. Be respectful. Agree to disagree where necessary.

Be kind in how you give feedback to others. We are all learning and growing.

Do not engage in bullying, pile ons or attacks on other community members.

Racism, sexism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, ageism, ableism, religious intolerance and any other forms of disrespect or aggression are unacceptable. Those who engage in these behaviours will be banned from using Apobangpo sites and resources.

Respect BTS and other Artists

Do treat BTS and other Artists with respect in the way you post about them.

Do not  post hurtful or discriminatory comments against any of the Tannies or other Artists.

Trust BTS. They are adults who make their own decisions. Respect their work and the way they do it.

Please Do not  post any of the following:

• Airport photos unless released by BigHit / Hybe or shared on BTS Members’ social media
• Fansite photos or images that violate the Tannies’ privacy
• Photos of the Members during their military service OR statistical information about the Members’ performance during their military service unless officially released by BigHit / Hybe or shared on BTS Members’ social media.

These types of images/data are not allowed, and you will be asked to remove posts that contain this type of content. Repeat offenders may have their accounts limited or banned.

Apobangpo Focus

As its name suggests, this space is designed for BTS ARMY and has a focus on the Tannies, their art and music, and their collaborations. However, you are welcome to discuss anything that takes your fancy – especially Kpop, Music, Art, Books, FanFiction and Pop Culture. 

Ultimately we love music. Many Apobangpo members listen to a wide variety of musical genres and artists. You are welcome to post about any of the music you are listening to.

Do not engage in fan wars or extreme criticism of BTS or other artists.

Do not criticize other members of the community who may have different listening habits to yours.

Promotion of Streaming and Voting is allowed, but please remember that all members have different circumstances, and assume that everyone is doing their best. 

Help us run a healthy server.

Avoid uploading large files and videos in your Toots. You are welcome upload images, gifs and videos up to 20MB. Please avoid uploading larger files in your Toots. Instead, save them to free storage tool (Google Drive, DropBox, Youtube, Vimeo for example) and link to them.

No Impersonations. Please do not create usernames that are direct impersonations of BTS Members or any other individual. eg. Exact celebrity names or the username of well-known bird app accounts that don’t belong to you.

Do not use Bot accounts (i.e., those with automated posting) without turning on the “This is a bot account” checkbox in the profile. Ensure Bots only post Unlisted, Followers-only or DM. Do not use bots to send spam or unsolicited messages. Apobangpo staff reserve the right to remove any bot accounts that cause disruption or frustration to other users.

Keep Safe

Do practice online safety strategies when using the Apobangpo.Space Server and this website.

Do not share personal or private information in public messages or DMs.

Mastodon is not end-to-end encrypted. If you need to share personal information, do not use Direct Messages. Please use an alternative encrypted tool. This guide includes info about good alternative options.

Keep Your Account Safe. Use the Two-Factor Authentication settings built into Mastodon. You will find these in your account preferences on Apobangpo.space.

Advertising and Promotion

Do Share your Fan Art and Craft for sale. We love seeing ARMY creativity and ingenuity.

Do Promote Army-led events and initiatives including charity projects and social events.

Advertising of products and services by commercial entities and established brands is not allowed without the express permission of the Apobangpo Admin Team. Please email jo@pixelcats.online for further information.

Create Great Content

Be thoughtful and creative about what you post.

Help make this a safe space for both hard and soft stans by using the Content Warning (CW) tools built into the platform.

As an adult space, NSFW posts are allowed. However, pornographic material is not welcome.

You are welcome to post Fan Fiction and Fan Art.  Please use the Content Warning (CW) tools built into the Mastodon platform and mark images as ‘sensitive’ unless they are PG Rated.

Content that promotes discrimination, unlawfulness, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ageism or ableism; or is designed to bully or otherwise harm others is not acceptable and will be deleted.

Use Content Warnings

Content Warnings (CW) are for any kind of content that other members may not want to see on their timeline.

This could include something serious like upsetting news, or less serious like film spoilers.

The Fediverse (of which Apobangpo.Space is a part) also has a strong tradition of using CWs on posts about emotive topics such as politics or religion. And of course, CWs are used for potentially “not safe for work”.

You will find the CW Tools and Sensitive image warning tools in the posting window on the Apobangpo.space website and in all Mastodon Apps. Please use them!

Ask for Help

Ask for help! If you are having difficulties with another user, ask a moderator for help. You can do so via the reporting tools on Apobangpo.Space or via the Get Help Page on this website.

Moderation Strategy

This is a new space and we are all learning together.  Moderators will provide advice, support and coaching to help Apobangpo.Space members learn how to use Mastodon and to abide by our Community Charter and Terms of Use.

Mastodon software provides moderation tools that allow for reporting, warnings, short-term blocks and bans, and will be used according to the policies detailed above.

Moderators will give warnings and reminders. However, users who ultimately cannot abide by our Community Charter and Terms of Use will be banned permanently.
